Bowling Tips – Why do I throw the bowling ball left of my mark?

This Bowling Tip has to be one of the most asked questions.  Now let’s get to a few good reasons why this happens. The first major reason we see this happen is because we are dropping our shoulder. When we do this we tend to throw our swing off causing us to pull the ball left of our mark. The next reason that may cause this is that we are not walking towards our target on the approach. If you do not walk towards your target you tend to reach for it instead, this causes you to miss left.

In these first two small Bowling Tips you may have noticed you do these regularly and now you can try to help yourself fix this.  The third Bowling Tip to fix this may be a little harder for us to do.  Has this ever happened to you?  You get on the approach, look at your mark and find yourself looking at the pins a second later? When you lift your head up to look at the pins during the bowling ball release, this will pull your ball left of your mark. It is a must to keep your head down and watch that your bowling ball rolls over your mark correctly, to be extremely consistent each shot. I hope these three small Bowling Tips will help you understand what you may be doing wrong and improve you game.
