Twist-to-Fit Precision With a Slide You Can Tune
Why We Built the Epic Ares Dial
The Ares Dial is our answer to a question we heard constantly: why should a dial closure and a replaceable slide sole cost premium money? We took the Ares platform, added the Epic Dial closure and a swappable slide sole, and kept the price where a league bowler can reach it.
One twist of the dial locks uniform tension across your whole foot, so there are no laces to retie between frames. And when the slide sole finally wears down, you replace the sole, not the shoe.
How the Epic Ares Dial Slides
You slide on the foot opposite your bowling hand. The Ares Dial is a right-handed shoe, so we put the removable slide sole on the left foot for a controlled glide to the line, and a non-marking rubber push-off sole on the right foot so you can plant hard and finish balanced.
The Slide Sole You Replace, Not the Shoe
We ship the Ares Dial with an M6 slide sole installed, our average-slide pad, because it suits the widest range of approaches. It is removable and cross-brand compatible: swap in a grippier pad for a slick tournament house, a slicker one for a tacky floor, or a fresh M6 when yours wears.
We kept the heel fixed on purpose. A stable, consistent heel means the slide sole is the one variable you tune. Replacement pads may need light trimming to fit, which any pro shop can do in minutes.
The Dial, the Upper, and What Holds You Steady
The Epic Dial closure tightens with a twist and spreads even tension across the whole foot, no pressure points, no hot spots, no retying laces mid-block. We wrapped it in a performance faux leather upper with patent faux-leather inlays that holds its shape through the repeated stress of your approach.
Under all of it sits our Power Flex EPIC EVA midsole with dura-flex channels for flexible comfort, plus an external molded TPU heel stabilizer that locks your heel down for a balanced finish at the line.

From the Epic Team: Getting the Most From the Epic Ares Dial
Dialing In Your Slide
Start with the M6 we install, it suits most houses. Sliding too far on slick lanes? Step down to a grippier pad. Sticking on tacky approaches? Go slicker. The sole mount is cross-brand compatible, so pads you already own will fit with a little trimming.
Fit and Sizing
The Ares Dial fits true to size, so order your normal street size, or go down a half size for a snugger, more consistent slide. Unisex sizing runs men’s 6 through 15 in standard width.
Care
Keep the slide sole off carpet and away from debris, wipe it clean after you bowl, and store the shoes in the included bag between sessions.
Not sure about sizing or slide setup? Ask us. We design and test every Epic shoe ourselves, and we are happy to point you to the right pair before you order.
