Kangaroo Leather and the Most Complete Kit We Make
Why We Built the Epic Apollo Dial Comfort
The Apollo is the shoe we build when the answer to every question is yes. Premium kangaroo leather? Yes. Epic Dial closure? Yes. The most complete sole and heel kit in our line? Four slide soles and four heels, with Black Teflon pre-installed for maximum glide.
Everything arrives in one box: the shoes, all four soles, all four heels, and a slide-foot shoe cover. If you want the best materials and the deepest slide customization we make, this is it.
How the Epic Apollo Dial Comfort Slides
You slide on the foot opposite your bowling hand. The Apollo is a right-handed shoe, so the interchangeable slide sole and heel sit on the left foot for a controlled glide to the line, and the right foot gets a non-marking rubber push-off sole with a reinforced toe cap for a stable, powerful plant.
Four Soles, Four Heels: The Full Kit
We include four slide soles (B1, B3, B5, and Black Teflon, with Black Teflon installed for maximum slide and B3 as the average pad) and four heels (White Smooth, Horseshoe, Rippled, and Black Smooth). It is the deepest kit in the Epic line: tune your glide with the sole and your stop with the heel, for any approach you meet.
Every piece swaps in about a minute, and the mounts are cross-brand compatible with light trimming if needed. Sticky house floor or slick tournament pattern, the Apollo has a setup for it in the box.
Why We Use Kangaroo Leather
Kangaroo leather is about ten times stronger than cowhide and half again stronger than goatskin, at a lower weight. That is why we chose it for the Apollo upper, here with breathable mesh inlays: it holds its shape and fit through the repeated stress of the approach and stays comfortable over a long block.
The single Epic Dial closure micro-adjusts to an even, precise hold with one twist, no laces to retie. A full Flyer mesh lining wicks heat and moisture, the collar and tongue are padded for support, and a reinforced non-marking toe cap shrugs off the drag wear of the finish.

From the Epic Team: Getting the Most From the Epic Apollo Dial Comfort
Dialing In Your Slide
Black Teflon ships installed for the longest slide. If it glides too far for a house, step to the B5, B3, or B1 until the finish feels right, and use the heel choice to tune how you stop. A higher-slide pad suits tacky approaches; a grippier pad suits slick patterns.
Fit and Sizing
The Apollo fits true to size, so order your normal street size, or go down a half size for a snugger, more consistent slide. Unisex sizing runs men’s 4 through 13 (women’s 5.5 through 14.5) in standard width.
Care
Wipe the kangaroo leather with a soft, dry cloth, keep the slide sole off carpet and away from debris, and store the soles and heels together so the full kit travels with the shoes.
Not sure about sizing or slide setup? Ask us. We design and test every Epic shoe ourselves, and we are happy to point you to the right pair before you order.
