Why We Built the Epic Men’s Rush Static

The Rush Static started as a weight project: build a bowling shoe that moves like a running shoe. Then our designers got hold of the upper, and it became something people ask about at the counter: a black single-piece knit covered in a static text pattern with metallic gold accents.

The performance under the look is real. The CMEVA outsole weighs 30% less than standard rubber, the knit breathes so your feet stay cool, and a fixed microfiber slide sole keeps your glide the same from the first frame to the last.

How the Epic Men’s Rush Static Slides

You slide on the foot opposite your bowling hand. The Rush Static is a right-handed shoe, so the fixed B3 microfiber slide sole sits on the left foot for a smooth, controlled glide, and the Epic-Traction sole sits on the right foot for a stable plant.

A Consistent Slide With Nothing to Adjust

We fitted the Rush Static with a fixed B3 microfiber slide sole, the industry-standard average slide that works across the widest range of approaches. It never changes, so your slide never surprises you.

The push-off foot gets our Epic-Traction sole for grip into every slide step, set on the CMEVA outsole with a raised rubber heel for traction and stability.

One-Piece Knit and the 30% Lighter Outsole

We weave the upper as a single piece, so there are no stiff panels or seams pressing on your foot, just airflow and natural flex that feels closer to a running shoe than a traditional bowling shoe. A fabric lining and padded collar carry the comfort through a long block.

The CMEVA (compression-molded EVA) outsole is 30% lighter than standard rubber. Across the hundreds of approach steps in a session, that saved weight shows up as less fatigue and steadier mechanics by game four.
